The SHOCAL app is out now on iPhone and Android, and it is the whole of SHOCAL in one place. The shops and restaurants near you, the events worth turning up to, your order while it is on its way, and a running total of what your spending has actually done for your high street.

Everything local, in one place
Put your postcode in and the app shows what is genuinely near you, with the shops that can take an order right now at the top. Every shop has its real opening hours, its delivery charge, how far away it is and whether you can collect in person, so there are no surprises at the checkout.
Menus are the shop's own. If a cafe stops doing paninis at three, the app knows. If a fishmonger is shut on a Monday, you will not be sold anything on a Monday.
One basket, several shops, one delivery
This is the part high street shopping has always been missing. You can put the greengrocer, the butcher and the bakery in the same basket and have the lot brought round together, by one driver, for one delivery charge. It is the thing a single supermarket order gives you, except the money stays in your town.
Prefer to pick it up? Choose collection and the shop will have it ready. Ordering for later in the week works the same way, so a Friday night takeaway or a Saturday morning order can go in whenever you remember it.
See what is on near you
Tickets live in the app too. Football match days, comedy nights, school film clubs, wreath workshops and the rest of it, listed by date with the price up front.
Buy a ticket and it lives in your orders with a QR code, so there is nothing to print and nothing to lose. If an event is invitation only, the organiser gives you a code to unlock it. You can also browse what is on from the website.
Your impact, counted
Every order you place adds to a running total: what you have spent locally, how many shops you have backed, and how many orders that took.
It is the clearest answer we have found to the question people ask us most, which is whether shopping this way makes any difference at all. You can see your own figures on the impact page as well.
Know where your order is
Once a shop starts your order you can follow it: being prepared, ready, picked up, and on its way, with the driver on a map for deliveries. Drivers take a photo of where they leave a doorstep order, so there is never any doubt about whether it arrived.
You collect SHOCAL Points as you go, and they come off a future order rather than expiring into nothing.
For shops and drivers
